ScienceDirect

February 20, 2008

We recently added a database to our list of subscriptions–ScienceDirect as the name suggests is a database with heavy concentration on the sciences. M.P. Baker Library students and faculty will have access to high quality journal articles in the Physical Sciences area including chemistry, earth sciences, mathematics, physics and astronomy; Life Sciences including agriculture & biological sciences, environmental sciences; Health Sciences including medicine, nursing and allied health.  Citations and abstracts in the Social Sciences & Humanities fields such as arts, business, accounting, economics, finance & psychology are also available.

This database maintains more than 2,500 journals and users will have access to almost nine million full-text articles. In addition, it allows the Library to license journal content to subject-specific journal collection such as Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. In other words with this subscription, our faculty and students will have access to current and back file issues of this journal.
